Bradley takes victory, WBC title from Witter
Witter was making his third title defense, but Bradley (22-0) knocked down his opponent in the sixth round and went on to win 114-113, 115-113, 112-115. The only judge favoring Witter was Franco Ciminale. LONDON (Reuters) - American Tim Bradley upset Britain's
Junior Witter to win the WBC light welterweight title in
Nottingham on Saturday. Mandatory challenger Bradley took a
split decision after flooring Witter in the sixth round and
cutting the 34-year-old champion above his left eye in the
11th.
