Trail Blazers to sign Spanish guard Fernandez
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Spanish guard Rudy Fernandez has
reached an agreement to sign with the Portland Trail Blazers,
the NBA team's general manager said on Tuesday. Fernandez, 23,
acquired by Portland in a 2007 Draft day deal with Phoenix who
took him with the 24th overall pick, played the past seven
seasons for DKV Joventut Badalona in the Spanish ACB League and
is a member of Spain's national team.

| Paul signs contract extension with Hornets
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - New Orleans All-Star guard Chris
Paul agreed a four-year extension to remain with the Hornets,
the Times-Picayune of New Orleans said on Thursday. The deal is
worth $68 million with the fourth year of the contract being a
player option.
